Hello Ladies around the pool, so being made redundant at end of March (not a problem, great opportunity to get off the hamster wheel). Was fortunate to have group health insurance with job and was paying an ok premium. Just searching for future cover,  current provider for  cover now asking for £400 per month 😱 and other companies will cover me for anything but my pre existing conditions - anyone struggling with the same and any suggestions? ... Serenity, I would say listen to your body,  when it says no then it means no. I had lumpectomy and sentinel   node biopsy in Jan (quite minor in comparison to what some ladies have on here) and it’s taken me until now to feel totally up for life, even now if I have an overly busy day then I can get a little sore, day by day it gets easier  ... Hi Ladies of Tropicana, good to see you are all well. All good in my world, blood tests came back clear last week so it’s full steam 🚂 ahead for me to have a great Christmas this year! Mushy/Alibobs - my job has been at risk for last 18 months and really get what you mean - like you I reckon stress probably plays a huge part. I find out this week what will happen to me and hoping redundancy payout allows me some time out to get fitter and balance out a bit after what can be best described as a roller coaster of a year.  It’s such an unnerving time knowing your job is at risk and such changes hang over you from the minute management communicate it’s happening until you find out what it means to you personally   Im having a blood test early Sept and Onco said it was to test for cancer related proteins - watch this space as will get results mid Sept - gulp!      ... Morning ladies of Club Tropicana,💃💃💃💃🌴 my first mammogram is due just before Christmas - found out I had cancer on 22/12 so that made Christmas tough last year. Have asked them to delay until the first week in Jan - Nurse looked shocked that I’d asked but as you say until people walk in our shoes.....Hope all goes well for those waiting for results 🤞🏻Off to sunny Cornwall tomorrow and hoping left bap behaves itself as lots of body boarding planned 🌊 ... Ha ha Mishy18, great post! Loved the Kylie at 50 programme. Don’t blame you, I would stay off in the lovely sunshine ☀️. Onc said they would test my bloods for indicators to check that cancer hadn’t returned - I’m guessing they are just being cautious, I had surgery to remove pre cancerous lumps in March 2017 and then found cancerous lump in Dec 2017 - last year was quite the year!  Like you, I’m also on yearly mammograms. Your husband is right, it is really painful....and itches like mad!  ... View more

Hi Ali, our appointments must be in sync! Had appointment with Onc today - all good, back there in Sept and will be given a blood test to check for signs of re-occrance, I can imaging the run up to that will be stressful. Appointment with surgeon next month. Did see him at the beginning of May after lymph nodes went up and I went into panic mode (it was shingles! - relieved but very painful 😣) - I feel for you on the being tired still, I find some days I get up shattered. Hey ladies, it’s nearly weekend and the weather looks like it’s going to be lovely again 😎 One more week at work and then I’m off to Palma for a few days, can’t wait - first holiday since treatment.
