Re: Tamoxifen

Hi Sandra

Yes, it helped a lot, many thanks! Sorry to take so long to reply. I've not been feeling a bit down so I've worked a lot to have few time left to worry about cancer.

Did you have side effects on Tamoxifen? My doctor's have suggested me to take it for ten years. It seems so long :-(

Re: Tamoxifen

Hi Carol
I have just finished nearly 6 years on Tamoxifen.
I never had chemo or rad, I had quite invasive surgery and reconstruction.
Yes I was so scared at first but my breast nurse was so helpful and explained everything, there are so so many types of breast cancer.
To be honest I still get scared but have more good than bad days.
While I was on Tamoxifen the girls in my pharmacy were angels, they made sure I was on the same brand every month which I think helped too as I felt ok on it.
I have to go for mammograms for 10 years so they are keeping a eye on me, I am actually waiting for my results this year, always stressful!
Hope this helps, sorry for rambling .
Take Care

Tamoxifen

Hi ladies,

Does someone on Tamoxifen without chemotherapy neither radiotherapy? How do you feel about that? Are you afraid of cancer coming back because of you didn't had radio and chemo? Do you have some side effect?

I'll be really greatful if you decide to share your experience with me and who wants to read it.
