Re: Grade three early breast cancer

Hello,

i hope your your meeting with you oncologist went well.  I am 47 and have had a mammoplasty with lumpectomy.  I had surgery 4 weeks ago and like you early stage, 20mm, and advised tamoxifen and radiotherapy for 4 weeks.  However my onco report scored me at 20 which is borderline.  Have been advised to have chemotherapy for 6 sessions starting in two weeks.  However I am considering declining chemotherapy as will only increase my chances of it returning by 4%.  The thought of it scares me so much.

How did you get on?

Best wishes

Hi @ppat

Sorry that you haven't had a reply yet. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to continue the conversation.

In the meantime, you may find it helpful to speak to one of our trained specialists on the free Helpline, 0808 800 6000.

Grade three early breast cancer

Hi all

I can’t see anything on grade three here so starting a new post.

I have just had diagnosis and lumpectomy and have been told it’s early stage grade three cancer. I am now going to have an Oncotype DX test as per my consultant.

Next step is treatment which will definitely be tamoxifen and radiotherapy and likely to be chemo Smiley Sad

Has anyone else been diagnosed with grade three early stage ? Is chemo mainly used for grade three early stage ? It’s hasn’t spread to lymph
