Re: What does 'satisfactory' mean for an ultrasound result?

Hi rosethistle

Thanks for your post.

When you get a satisfactory result after a scan or medical test e.g. blood test, it means no action is needed and they are not worried. The result would be within a normal range.

Do call our free, confidential Helpline if you would like to talk this through in greater detail or have more questions. The number is 0808 800 6000.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.

Best wishes

What does 'satisfactory' mean for an ultrasound result?

I was just wondering what 'satisfactory' means for a breast ultrasound? Is it the only possible benign finding or does it mean that something is slightly outside of the normal range?
