Re: Armpit lump

Hi Mhaz

Thanks for posting about the problem you’re having since your surgery.

I’m unsure from your post whether you’ve had any surgery to your lymphnodes (for example a lymphnode sample), in which case it would be possible to feel sore in that area, and to have some swelling.

If you’re not due to see someone in your breast team soon when you can let them know about this, it would be a good idea to contact them and ask if they feel it’s a good idea to see you to check it out

Do call our free, confidential Helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. The number is 0808 800 6000.

Our new opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.

Best wishes

Armpit lump

Hi

The armpit lump (gland) I had that was scanned at the hospital at the time before my surgery over a few weeks ago was clear. I've noticed that it's now bigger, harder and is a little painful on touch! Is this because of the healing still from the lumpectomy?

Thank you in advance xx
