Re: Hi all

I read that the research doesn't show any link between alcohol and breast cancer recurrence. So I'm not giving it up until that changes,  we need some pleasures in life!

Re: Hi all

I've got my 3rd year Mammo next month , how times flies! Today is actually the 15th anniversary of my dear mums death to breast cancer, I'm not trying to be morbid but it's just another reason to appreciate that we are here and living still so should be making every day a little celebration! โค๏ธ I certainly try too ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

Re: Hi all

Hiya, welcome to the forum ๐Ÿ˜Š If it's any help I enjoy a few glasses of wine and Gin and have done so since my diagnosis 3 years ago, I had radiotherapy and take Tamoxifen and have never been told not to have a drink, I think after all we've been through we shouldn't be denying ourselves the little pleasures in life! ๐Ÿธ๐ŸธXx Jo

Hi all

I was diagnosed with breast cancer October 2018 came as a massive shock as only went for my routine mammogram this was my 2nd one,
Iโ€™m 51 years old, hadnโ€™t any concern to be told I had 5 tumours on my left breast, had lumpectomy and 2 lymph nodes removed, treatment Iโ€™m on for a year Had one dosage of chemotherapy, followed on with the Herceptin injection every 3 weeks, also just finished 15 sessions of radiotherapy, also having MUGA Scan every 3 months as apparently the toxins can weaken the strength of the heart feel Iโ€™m in good hands, also taking tamoxifen tablets for 5 years.
Is it safe to consume alcohol in moderation, Iโ€™m finding my head fancies it but worrying it will block out all the treatment ๐Ÿ’•
